Antique Edwardian French Diamond Bangle Platinum 18ct Gold

A stunning antique French La Belle Époque diamond bangle, featuring a scrolling motif at the front, with an elegant crossover band curving gently around it. The front is edged with milgrain and claw set with a trilogy of sparkling old-mine cut diamonds across the centre, with twinkling rose cuts chasing down each side and into the band. 

The diamonds have SI1 clarity – H colour and the largest weigh approx. 0.10ct each, with a grand total of approx. 1.6ct across the front. They’re set in a platinum gallery that joins a rosy 18ct gold band at the back, held by a box clasp at the side, complete with French gold and platinum hallmarks.  

The La Belle Époque, or “Beautiful era”, spanned three distinct jewellery periods from 1890 -1915. This was a time of increasing wealth and flourishing arts across Europe before the outbreak of World War I in 1914. The pieces were celebrated for their intricate, Art Nouveau designs, exquisite craftsmanship and beautiful gemstones that embody elegance, sophistication, and femininity. 

This spectacular Edwardian-era bangle dates to the early 1900s and has remained in pristine condition. It boasts a dazzling array of natural diamonds and exquisite workmanship, from a time aptly named “The beautiful Era”.
