Antique Edwardian Aquamarine Dropper Necklace 36ct Total
A glamorous antique Edwardian aquamarine dropper necklace, adorned with twelve clear-blue aquamarines, weighing between 2 – 4.5ct (approx. 36ct total). The stones are a combination of round and oval cuts, with five pear cut droppers dangling from the bottom. They’re set in 15ct gold milgrain bezel frames, with pretty love knot links connected in-between.
Aquamarine is the birthstone of March. It derives its name from its tranquil, clear blue/ green colouring that emulates the beauty of a tropical ocean or icy glacial waters. It was once believed to be the treasure of Mermaids and is said to bring happiness, good fortune and eternal youth.
This is an elegant Edwardian necklace from the early 20th Century, showcasing a beautiful garland of natural aquamarines, suspended from a fine 9ct gold chain and ring clasp.
We recommend you insure for £4,000. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
