Antique Victorian Floral Pearl Lavaliere Pendant Necklace 15ct Gold
A fabulous antique Victorian pearl lavaliere necklace, featuring a beautiful floral gallery along the bottom, consisting of flowers and ivy leaves, all decorated with gleaming white seed pearls.
The crowing feature is a beautiful flower dropper suspended from the bottom that can be detached and worn separately on a chain as a pendant. It also has a pin at the back so it can even be worn as a brooch depending on the occasion.
Pearls are the birthstone of June and a true treasure of the ocean, produced organically by fresh and saltwater molluscs. Their spherical shape and exceptional lustre have long been associated with the beauty of the moon and are symbolic of purity, serenity, and loyalty.
This is a versatile antique Victorian piece from the late 19th Century, displaying exquisite workmanship and bright natural pearls. It’s fashioned entirely in 15ct gold and the chain is made up of round, articulated links, held by a secure box clasp at the end.
We recommend you insure for £3,000. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
