Vintage Black Opal Diamond Cluster Ring 2.64ct Natural Opal

A marvellous vintage opal diamond cluster ring, adorned with an enchanting flat cut natural black opal. It weighs 2.64 carats and exhibits vivid green, blue and orange embers that glitter and change with the light. 

The opal is framed by a halo of eighteen bright brilliant cut diamonds, with three tapered baguette cuts flaring out on each shoulder.  They have excellent VS1 clarity – H colour and total 0.66 carats. 

Black Opal is the most highly prized of its kind. The darker colouration means that the flashes of colour are much starker and more radiant, with ethereal greens and bright blues flowing within the stone, evoking the beauty of the Milky way or Aurora Borealis against the night sky.   

This robust opal cluster ring is modelled in solid platinum and features a pierced under gallery and the stone weights stamped within the shank. It would make a magnificent vintage statement piece, with a dazzling collection of natural gems on top.
