Art Deco French Aquamarine Cocktail Ring 26.24ct Aqua
An impressive French cocktail ring from the 1920s showcasing an enormous emerald cut aquamarine weighed at 26.24 carats. It exhibits a calming blue hue with green flashes and is superbly cut with linear facets that flicker beautifully in the light.
Aquamarine is the birthstone of March. It derives its name from its tranquil, clear blue/ green colouring that emulates the beauty of a tropical ocean or icy glacial waters. It was once believed to be the treasure of Mermaids and is said to bring happiness, good fortune and eternal youth.
The aqua is mounted in a robust 18ct gold claw mount with open sides and beautiful, flowing motifs on the shoulders with detailed texturing. It’s an imposing statement ring, boasting a truly breath-taking aquamarine on top and is complete with a gold French eagle mark on the outside of the band.
We recommend you insure for £3,300. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
