Antique Georgian Rose Cut Diamond Twist Ring 1ct Diamond
This grand crossover ring features a fabulous antique Georgian gallery consisting of two domed clusters encrusted with flickering rose cut diamonds, approx. 1ct total.
The rose cut has been around since the 16th Century and is recognised for its neat triangular facets that are cut to resemble the petals of a rosebud. They were at the height of popularity in the Georgian era and were beloved for their enchanting sparkle that was said to dance by candlelight.
The antique gallery dates to the early 1800s and is fashioned in silver with pierced sides and 18ct gold backs. It looks to have been converted over time and joined with an elegant 15ct gold crossover band that twists gracefully around each cluster creating a fabulous statement ring that is very striking and unique.
