Antique Edwardian Opal Diamond Cocktail Ring 6ct Natural Opal

A spectacular antique Edwardian opal diamond cocktail ring, built around a large natural opal, weighing approx. 6 carats, with a spread of 9 carats. It displays vibrant blue, green and orange embers that shimmer and dance beneath the surface and is complemented by a halo of twenty-four sparkling old mine cut diamonds, with superb SI 1 clarity – H colour (approx. 1.9ct total).  

Opal is the birthstone of October and is considered a stone of luck and passion. It has been revered throughout history for its enchanting rainbow of colours that flow and dance across the surface of the stone, evoking the natural beauty of planet Earth or the Aurora Borealis. 

This Edwardian cocktail ring is modelled entirely in platinum and features a scalloped, milgrain frame, with pierced workmanship around the sides. It’s a breath-taking statement piece, dating to the early 20th Century, with a spellbinding natural opal on top that is sure to impress.
