Antique Victorian Moonstone Flower Pendant 9ct Gold
A beautiful antique Victorian flower pendant bezel set with seven cabochon moonstones in the centre, with an eighth dangling from a dropper below. Each stone weighs between 1 – 1.5ct and has an enchanting blue schiller that glows beneath its translucent surface.
The mystifying moonstone derives its name from the stone’s ethereal, luminescent light that was once believed to be moonlight in solid form. In Greek mythology they were associated with Selene, the feminine moon Goddess and said to be a path to love, wisdom and new beginnings.
The open-work gallery is fashioned in 9ct gold and decorated with grooved detailing and gold beading. It’s a gorgeous design and in excellent condition.
