A fabulous antique Victorian harlequin bracelet from the late 19th Century, lined with eleven multi-coloured cushion cut gemstones, including quartz, garnet, topaz and a blue cabochon sapphire. The smallest stones weigh approx. 0.70ct and graduate in size to a 3ct cherry-pink quartz in the middle.

Harlequin jewellery is named after the colourful costumes of the 16th century comedy actors of the same name. The style was popular during the 19th Century and saw wonderful pieces of jewellery abundantly decorated in coloured gemstones.

The stones are all claw set in yellow gold frames that articulate together and join a silky 15ct curb link chain at the back, all held by a box clasp and safety chain. It’s a fabulous Victorian bracelet, all in excellent condition, with a gorgeous rainbow of natural gems on display.

We recommend you insure for £3,000. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
