A remarkable antique Victorian Renaissance revival bracelet, adorned with emerald cut pink, blue and green topaz along the length (approx. 2-3ct each), leading to an enormous emerald cut aquamarine in the centre, weighing an estimated 23 carats.

The gems are all claw set in ornate, open-work galleries, fashioned in 18ct yellow gold with scrolling motifs and gold beading, highlighted in white and blue enamel. It’s held by a box clasp at the end, complete with two clasps to hold it secure.

Renaissance Revival jewellery became popular during the 19th century and drew inspiration from the ornate and intricate designs of the 15th to 17th centuries. The pieces were characterized by elaborate engravings, ornate metalwork and colourful gemstones which reflected the opulence and artistry of the Renaissance era.

This is an outstanding Victorian bracelet, beautifully preserved from the mid 19th Century. It displays exquisite workmanship throughout and a glorious assortment of coloured gemstones across the front.
