This magnificent antique Victorian pendant is built around an enormous square natural opal cabochon, claw set in an open 18ct gold gallery. It weighs an impressive 20.6 carats (approx.) with bright flashes of green, blue, pink and orange that burn beneath the surface of the stone. 

Opal is the birthstone of October. Their magic has been revered throughout history and are desired for their enchanting rainbow of colours that flow and dance across the surface of the stone, evoking the beauty of planet earth or the aurora borealis.
