Victorian Style Harlequin Gemstone Pendant 9ct Gold
A magnificent Victorian inspired Harlequin pendant decorated with an abundance of coloured gemstones scattered across the front in various cuts and sizes. The stones test as rubies, sapphires, diamonds and topaz and come in a variety of different colours, including blue, green, red, pink, yellow, purple and white.
Harlequin jewellery is named after the colourful costumes of the 16th Century comedy actors of the same name. The style was popular during the 19th Century and saw wonderful pieces of jewellery abundantly decorated in coloured gemstones.
The extravagant, open-work gallery is fashioned entirely in 9ct gold with Birmingham hallmarks at the back of the loop. It’s truly mesmerising and the gemstones glisten beautifully across the front like a colourful hoard of treasure.
We recommend you insure for £4,500. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
