An exquisite antique Georgian emerald diamond cluster ring, crowned with a glowing green cabochon emerald in the centre (approx. 0.60ct), haloed by ten glistening rose cut diamonds around the border (approx. 0.70ct total).

Emerald is the birthstone of May. The Romans considered it to be the sacred stone of the goddess Venus and was said to preserve love and provide hope. Its natural green colouring also makes it a stone of springtime and is associated with eternal love and faithfulness.

The piece is crafted in 18ct yellow gold and features an ornate closed back gallery, with gold beading around the edge and scrolling shoulders on either side.

This is a rare antique find, dating to the late 18th Century with beautiful workmanship and a gorgeous collection of natural gems on top.

We recommend you insure for £3,300. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
