Antique Georgian Emerald Diamond Cluster Ring 1ct Emerald
A grand antique Georgian emerald diamond cluster ring, crowned with a natural cushion cut emerald in the centre with a particularly striking, vivid green hue. It weighs approx. 1ct and is haloed by twelve glistening old mine cut diamonds around the border, with seven more set on scrolled shoulder accents on each side, approx. 0.50ct total.
Emerald is the birthstone of May. The Romans considered it to be the sacred stone of the goddess Venus and was said to preserve love and provide hope. Its natural green colouring also makes it a stone of springtime and is associated with eternal love and faithfulness.
The scalloped gallery and shoulders are crafted in silver, with an 18ct yellow gold back, band and claw setting for the principal stone. It’s an alluring antique Georgian ring, dating to the early 19th Century and displays beautiful workmanship and a gorgeous natural emerald on top.
