Antique Victorian Chunky Opal Bead Necklace 9ct Gold Clasp

A spectacular antique Victorian bead necklace made up of thirty-one natural opal beads with faceted rock crystals in between. The opals graduate in size toward the bottom and are glossy and smooth with glowing blue and green bands that intensifies to a bright golden orange in the sunlight.

Opal is the birthstone of October. Their magic has been revered throughout history, desired for their enchanting rainbow of colours that flow and dance across the surface of the stone, evoking the natural beauty of planet earth or the aurora borealis. 

It’s an enchanting piece, all in excellent condition with a 9ct gold ring clasp at the end.
