Antique Victorian Diamond Emerald Snake Slave Bangle 15ct Gold
A striking antique Victorian slave bangle (Circa 1900) depicting a coiled snake with crosshatch, scales engraved along the head along with twinkling old cut diamond eyes and a green step cut emerald in the centre (approx. 0.08ct).
Serpent jewellery became a popular romantic token during the Victorian era and symbolised a wonderful combination of love, loyalty and friendship, with their coiled shape representing eternity.
The piece is modelled entirely in shining 15ct yellow gold and has developed a lovely patina and smoothness with age. It’s a wonderful statement piece and looks fabulous wrapped around the upper arm.
We recommend you insure for £1,950. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
