Antique Victorian Diamond Star Brooch 18ct Gold Silver 2ct Of Diamond
A stunning antique Victorian star brooch from the late 19th Century encrusted with a dazzling array of old mine cut diamonds which total approx. 2ct. The largest are 0.10ct and sit in the centre of the piece and between each of the stars eight points.
Star jewellery became a popular motif during the late 19th Century due to an increased interest in astronomy. They’re seen to represent guidance and are said to lead you in the direction you are meant to go.
The brooch is a union of silver and 18ct yellow gold and is fitted with a long safety chain for added security when worn. It’s in pristine condition and sparkles as bright as the star it depicts.
We recommend you insure for £3,300. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
