Antique Victorian Etruscan Garnet Pearl Bangle 18ct Gold
A magnificent antique Victorian Etruscan revival bangle from the late 1900s modelled in solid 18ct gold with a large, round face crowned with a deep red flat cut garnet in the centre (approx. 2.5ct), haloed by bright seed pearls, twelve smaller garnets and an ornate border.
Etruscan revival pieces were crafted in the late 1800s after ancient Etruscan jewellery was unearthed in tombs outside of Rome, beginning a fascination with the style and giving birth to these beautiful pieces which were crafted in the same grand and elaborate fashion.
The bangle features a fabulous open band that splits into three and scrolls gracefully toward the face at the front. It’s fitted with a box clasp and safety chain at the side to hold it securely.
It’s a grand statement piece, beautifully preserved and displays a gorgeous collection of natural gemstones.
