Antique Victorian Turquoise Pearl Gate Bracelet 9ct Gold
A stylish antique Victorian gate bracelet from the late 1800s consisting of open gate links with fabulous, curved posts at the top and alternating turquoise cabochons and white pearls in the middle, all held by a safety chain and heart padlock clasp.
Heart padlocks were a popular love token in the Victorian era and a symbol of a couple’s strong love and commitment to one another. Turquoise is also considered a stone of everlasting love and pearls a stone of loyalty. They were a popular combination, with their soft colours complementing each other perfectly.
The piece is all 9ct gold and has developed a lovely patina over time. A romantic Victorian piece beautifully made and in excellent condition.
