Antique Georgian Garnet Flower Drop Earrings 18ct Gold
A magnificent pair of antique Georgian garnet drop earrings, featuring a large flower-shaped cluster of flat-cut garnets at the bottom with further garnets set on droppers above. They all have a deep cherry-pink hue and are collet set in 18ct gold closed-back settings, with gold hooks on top.
Garnet is the birthstone of January and has been desired throughout history for its strength and blazing crimson-red or cherry-pink flame that glows beneath its dark exterior. It’s considered a stone of the heart and is symbolic of passion and enduring love.
These are a spectacular pair of Georgian drop earrings that articulate and swing beautifully from each ear. They date to the early 19th Century and have both remained in excellent condition.
